The Boxer Rebellion is a band that has been around for quite some time now without ever really achieving the large recognition one would expect from such a talented group. They formed in 2001 in the United Kingdom and very much so have the sound a band born of the ColdPlay, Radiohead, Oasis era would. However this is not a bad thing as they are often times a little slower and more mellow than there more pop friendly counter parts and peers. This song diamonds is a song that I keep listening to over and over, and is the first single from their new upcoming album. The song seems to hit a rather raw emotional nerve in a great way.
I discovered this band about 5 years ago. I stream all of my music and usual find artist by listening to what is similar to artists that I already like and steaming genres that I enjoy listen to.
I love the mix of female vocals and rock music. Their music is energetic but calming at the same time to me. Similar artist to them are Bullet for My Valentine, A Skylit Drive, and A Day to Remember just to name a few.
This song is the first single from Galantis, a side project created by Miike Snow cofounder Christian Karlsson. Christian is a very accomplished producer having worked on a wide range of artists from Britney Spears, Depeche Mode, Kelis, Madonna and many more. His expertise shines thru on this song as it is expertly paced and has a hypnotic beat. I find the vocals to be very captivating and the overall tone of the song to be very upbeat. Its one of those songs that gets stuck in your head all day and your day is better for it.
Belgium Electronic Dance Duo Secret Wish (Kurt & Heidi ) had their first international success in 2009 with “Flick Of A Switch ” which was noted very high in the Dance Charts from Germany to China. With their new Single “Ivory Tower” they are back now with a very strong song and a package of great Remixes .. Katfyr ( who is the official Remixer of Hits by Katy Perry or Emma Hewitt ) gives you an awsome Dubstep Remix . Michael Fall, the rising star of the European Dance-Scene, takes you to the Bigroom-Floors and also German Phil Giava and Miguel & Chris ( both teams have remixed a lot of German Dance-Charts Hits ) and french Dj Ferre delivering the right mixes to get all hands up !
I don’t pay much attention to the Grammy’s so I didn’t really find out about Bon Iver until a few months ago. But have since set my alarm clock to play Calgary and Holocene. Really beautiful stuff. And I have a respect for their thoughts and vocalization of the music industry and Grammy’s as well. Justin Vernon, the founding singersongwriter behind Bon Iver, spoke at the Grammy’s and spoke truth to the masses about the massive volume of music, artistic talent, and culture that never gains any attention or recognition from the pop culture and mega entertainment run music industry speakerphones. See the clips here.

Also here’s my other favorite song by Bon Iver, Calgary.
What do you get when you combine an amazing Malaysian singer/songwriter singer and two Canadian dub step musicians ? Magic, pure and simple magic. This song Lullabies creates a very intoxicating enchanting atmosphere by taking the existing Yuna song and vocals and overlaying it with sick beats. Yuna started back in 2006 by self publishing songs in both English and Malay from her personal MySpace page. The song Lullabies was originally released as the first song on her self titled EP, released back in 2012. This remix by Adventure Club has recently been released as a single. I hope that people enjoy this song as much as I do.
